A customer of mine owned a house her mother had lived in that was built in the late 1800’s. She called me and said the city had condemned it unlivable and that demolition was to start in two weeks. So before the bulldozers rolled in, I went and hooked the trailer to the truck and grabbed a bag of tools. For the next five days I was consumed in gently prying boards from their three inch steel squarehead nails that had been driven in 100 years prior. Once I gathered every board suitable for furniture making, I headed back to the shop for the headache of pulling nails. Finally weeks later we created this. Enjoy.
